You can create a custom hourly quota for individual subaccounts instead of using Transactional Email's automated quota system. Quotas can be customized in the Transactional Email web interface or via the Transactional API.
Create Custom Quota in Transactional Email
To create a custom quota in Transactional Email, follow these steps:
- Go to the Subaccounts page.
- Click the View Details button next to the subaccount you'd like to edit. You can also find subaccounts using the search box in the upper, right side of the page.
-
Click the set custom quota link.
-
Enter the quota value (must be greater than 0) and click Set Quota.
Edit Custom Quota
- Go to the Subaccounts page.
- Click the View Details button next to the subaccount you'd like to edit. You can also find subaccounts using the search box in the upper, right side of the page.
- Click the edit custom quota link.
- Enter the updated quota value and click Set Quota.
Remove Custom Quota
At any time, you can revert back to Transactional Email's automated system and the quota will be calculated based on the subaccount's reputation.
- Go to the Subaccounts page.
- Click the View Details button next to the subaccount you'd like to edit. You can also find subaccounts using the search box in the upper, right side of the page.
- Click the edit custom quota link.
- Click Switch to Automated Quota.
Note
The quota for subaccounts can be set to a value that's higher than the primary account's hourly quota. However, if a subaccount sends a message that would put either the subaccount or the primary account over its hourly quota, the emails will be placed in the primary account's backlog. Subaccounts do not have separate backlogs.
